Final bill for Civil for the 2006 street maintenance has been paid. Salt has been ordered for the upcoming winter months.
WATER & SEWER
The committee has been working on the water meter at the elevator. The committee noted that the cost for water operation is approximately $6.00 per thousand gallons. The elevator now pays on the average of 1700 gallons per day. The board members feel we have no idea how much water is going out of the village during the elevator’s high usage months.
Discussion was made to put the meter on the water line from April thru October to monitor the usage.
Motion was made by Larry to meter the 2 inch line at the elevator for one year to monitor the water usage, to begin in April and run thru the fall when the meter is removed for the winter months. Motion second by Jim. Motion carried.
The committee will meet with Todd Block for further discussion.
The Park District has requested a 2 inch line for the concession stand construction. The board has determined we will need to run a 6 inch main to the property line and then feed the 2 inch line off it. The Village will do the inspection of the installation.
