October 1, 2007
Call to order at 7:00 pm by President Knoup.
New member, Matt Diehl, was sworn in by the clerk.
Members answering roll call: President Knoup, Todd Brinkmeier, Matt Diehl, Jim Westaby, Brian Schiess, Larry Johnson, Jamie Melville and Cheryl Liebenstein.
The minutes from the September meeting were reviewed and accepted without dissent by Jim.

The Committee made a motion for approval to pay all bills.

Financial Report
VISITORS
Katie (Domberger) was present to request that a tree be trimmed along the sidewalk as it is hanging over on to her house roof. Rob reported that the tree trimmers will be doing several streets in town and that he will add this to their list.

Streets & Alleys
The committee reported that Civil has completed the streets.
The tile on the retention pond behind the Koch residence needs to be replaced. Fischer’s would install a swale along the backside for approximately $5,000.00. Motion was made by Brian to continue with the project and to have it completed this fall yet along with seeding. Motion second by Larry. Motion carried.
President Knoup will set up a meeting with the three residents along the swale line and the lawyer before any work will be done.
WATER & SEWER
The committee has put together bid specifications for a new generator for the water tower. Will place an ad for bids and will open all bids on November 5th at 7:30 pm.

BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

Police
There was one complaint about where the officers were sitting and running radar. The committee will get together with the officers and discuss the issues.
Liquor
Bo-Co appeared before the Illinois Liquor Commission in Chicago regarding their ticket for selling alcohol to a minor and was issued a fine, but no suspension of their license since we suspended them for a week in March.
Old Business
Jim attended a meeting with the County for flood plans. He noted that a flood plan will be written for each town within the county.
Jim is still gathering information on storm sirens/weather radios. He will speak with the school about broadcasting over the weather radio for school closings. Emergency Management will come to the board meeting to discuss options on sirens or weather radios.
Bids have been let for the removal of the gas station building. Building should be down within two weeks.
Next phase will be the tank removal and ground testing, which will be covered by the EPA grant.
