Dave is working with the bank to set up a type of TIF program for the businesses.  This would involve an account with a specified amount of money from the bank and the village with interest being minimal to none.  There are still questions as to what happens to the money once the TIF has been completed.  Dave will follow up with more details.

 New Business

President Knoup attended the county meeting with all the mayors and representative Jim Sacia.  This meeting helped to air out the complaints with all the impact fees that have been imposed by the governor.  Sacia is fighting for the cities to get removal or reduction of these fees.

The meeting also covered the wind generator farms that plan to be installed.  There are three farms that will be installed. (Baileyville, Lena and Loran)

They are still talking with the landowners and drawing up contracts.

President Knoup suggested that the board look at reducing the village liquor license fee to help the local business since all the state liq. Fees were increased by $325.00.

This will be discussed later.

Yellow Creek Inn is developing a banquet room upstairs from the bar.

The board requested to go into executive session at 7:40 for the purpose of possible property purchase.
