Call to order at 7:00 pm by President Knoup.
Members answering roll call: President Knoup, Rusty Liebenstein, Matt Diehl, Jim Westaby, Bill Eaton, Dave Dixon, Larry Johnson, Jamie Melville, and Cheryl Liebenstein.
The minutes from the April meeting were reviewed and accepted without dissent by Jim.
Second by Rusty. Motion Carried.
The Committee made a motion for approval to pay all bills as presented. Second by Rusty. Motion carried.
The committee made a motion to transfer $30,000.00 from Sales account to the General account. Motion second by Jim. Motion carried.
Motion to approve the treasurer report as presented, by Jim.
Second by Rusty. Motion carried.
Financial Report
Board members received a copy of the Appropriations and reviewed as first reading. Any changes need to be made to Mat before the June meeting.
Motion was made by Dave to accept the Audit agreement with O’Connor, Brooks for a total of approximately $8,345.00 for audit services. Motion second by Rusty. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Mat to eliminate the Band Fund per state statute as two years have lapsed with no tax. Remaining money to be transferred to the General Fund. Motion second by Bill. Motion carried.
Visitors
Maintenance Report
There is a storm drain grate plugged near the storage sheds. This is the responsibility of the land owner.
Streets & Alleys
The sidewalk plan for downtown will be submitted to the State next week. The State has to approve the plan before any construction can be started. The village submitted the “flat plan” and not the plan that involved the step up and railing.
WATER & SEWER
Late bill notices will be sent out.
Mitchell residence has not been paying the Farm water fee and is currently 14 months behind. Dave will speak with the home owners to resolve the issue.
CEMETERY
Bill has confirmed the contract with Forest Green Trees for mowing at $175.00 per mow. Contract has been signed with noted changes made.
BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
Reminder that Clean up day is Saturday from 8-2
Police
The board has received a complaint for unlicensed vehicles within the Village.
The officers will need to check the entire Village for any vehicles not currently legal. Expired or unlicensed vehicles need to be covered.
A citation was given out for a barking dog.
Liquor
Motion was made by Larry to allow Yellow Creek Inn to block off the alley and have outdoor entertainment until 12:00 AM on June 8th and 9th for their Annual Appreciation Party.
Old Business
The Yellow Creek Water Shed meeting was held in Freeport recently. The University of Illinois has completed their study of the Pec River and Yellow creek to the Freeport line. Permission was given for them to continue the study to Pearl City and beyond.
Mat will speak with Fehr-Graham to get an update on the flood buy out. Details of the meeting will be posted on the Village website.
New Business
The Police have received a check from the school for $100.00 for their help with PC Post Prom.
The police will be involved with the program “Clean out Your Medicine Cabinet” on June 9th. Fliers have been posted and times are listed as to when residents can drop off any unused medications to the Village building for disposal.
