 Streets & Alleys

The Downtown sidewalk project is coming along.  The crew found the old coal chutes that they needed to fill before continuing with the cement work.

Committee has an estimate of $49,270.00 to resurface from Breezeway west to the end of the Village limits.  This will need to be let for bids.

Fehr-Graham suggested that the village stripe Walgren road before considering widening the intersection.

It was also suggested that we allow extra funds to resurface the alleys.  This will be done as an add-on to the bid for Walgren Rd.

Jim made a motion to let bids for Walgren road resurface to be paid from the Motor Fuel account.  Motion second by Bill.  Motion carried.

The committee is to look at getting a catch basin installed on the North side near the alley to help remove rain run-off.

 CEMETERY

The committee received a quote from K & T to remove the shrubs at the Cemetery and plant new ones for $4,375.00.  After discussion the committee feels that this should not be done and to save all funds for the road to be resurfaced next spring.

 BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

The committee has a quote for $1850.00 for new gutters on the maintenance building.  The new committee will need to look at this before anything is done.  Rob also suggested that the committee look at the steel which may need to be replaced.
