Financial Report
Visitors
Zach Shippy was here to present his Eagle Scout project to the board. Zach is looking to install a rock welcome sign on the South side of Pearl City Rd as you come into town. He noted that the stone has been donated and is checking on getting the engraving donated also. Board members thought this was a good project and suggested that he bring a couple designs back to the board. Zach was informed to contact Rob or President Knoup with questions or information regarding his project.
Maintenance Report
See attached report
Streets & Alleys
The Village has made the second payment on the downtown street project. The project should be completed within two weeks if the weather is good. Visitor Dan Kempel has requested that the village look at the alley behind his building on Main St. as he is getting all the rain run-off from the church. The run-off is going into his back door.
WATER & SEWER
President Knoup reported that all the elevations and paperwork for the Waste Water project have come back and approved.
CEMETERY
Committee noted that Ed will be mowing while Rob is on vacation.
BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
The committee looked at the steel roof at the Maintenance building and has determined that it will last a couple years yet. Bob did note that the gutters should be done anytime. He also noted that there is a hole in the roof at the pump house on Devore St. and that the steel wall on the salt shed needs to be replaced.
The committee made a motion to accept the bid for new gutters from Pearl City Seamless Gutters for $1,850.00. Motion second by Dave. Motion carried.
Police
The squad car has been in an accident and insurance has been notified.
Liquor
Yellow Creek Inn will be having their Annual Appreciation Days on June 15th and 16th. The Inn will also be installing gaming machines.
President Knoup noted that the village proceeds from the machines will be kept in the Sales Tax fund for future public projects.
Old Business
There has been a delay on the FEMA buy-out as Ron Davis has been sent out to another disaster elsewhere. Ron did note that the Appraisals are the next step. President Knoup noted that he will find out why appraisals need to be done since the board sent him all the assessed values of each house. Visitors are inquiring why this process is taking so long. Mat explained that the Village has done everything that FEMA has requested and that this is a Federal Project and they work on their own time line. Fehr-Graham will be at the next meeting and President Knoup will forward all questions to Adam and hope that he will bring some answers to the July meeting.
President Knoup also noted that visitors should contact Ron Davis’ office to get a time line from him.
