Meeting began with the swearing in of the 2 trustees and the president.
Todd Brinkmeier and Jim Westaby took the oath for the trustee positions and Robert Knoup took the oath for the Village president position.
Call to order at 7:05 pm by President Knoup.
Members answering roll call: President Knoup, Todd Brinkmeier, Dave Dixon, Jim Westaby, Brian Schiess, Larry Johnson, Cheryl Liebenstein and Jamie Melville.
The minutes from the April meeting were reviewed and accepted without dissent by Jim.

Jim made a motion for approval to pay all bills.

VISITORS
Maintenance Report
Rob will be flushing hydrants on the first and third Friday of each month beginning in April.
Rob has mosquito pellets for the public if anyone is in need of them.
Streets & Alleys
Bids were opened by Fehr & Graham for the 2005 street maintenance. We had two bids; Cox and Civil.
The committee made a motion to accept the low bid from Cox for the 2005 street maintenance, allowing additional corner and shoulder work to be done as needed, not to exceed a total of $20,000.00. Motion second by Larry. Motion carried.
Loberg was contacted to fix the inlet box on Main St,
WATER & SEWER
Sand filters will be drained and cleaned this month. We will need to jet the lone at the football field. This was not done when Northern IL, Environmental was in town.
CEMETERY
The committee will purchase one tree for replacement.
BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
The annual Clean-up Day will be May 7th from 8am to 3pm.
The new tractor will be in this week. The committee contacted Eastland Fabricating to make the grates for the tubes in the subdivision.
Request was made by Rob to look at a virus protection plan for internet use. Currently we are not using the internet and would like to get back on so that reports can be sent electronically.
Jamie will look into this.
Rob and President Knoup are in need of new cell phones. Our contract is up in mid-May and will get new phones with a new contract.
Police
Our officers did breathalyzer testing before Prom. No problems were noted.
Liquor
Businesses have received their new license.
Old Business
A $100.00 donation was given to the post prom committee to help cover entertainment expenses.
The new planter for the library is done and will need to be picked up.
Also, looking for persons to take care of the downtown planters. Village will reimburse the cost of the flowers for those who plant them.
New Business
President Knoup has made new committee appointments. Cheryl will type up and put in your mail boxes. We need to appoint a new trustee for a 2 year term. President Knoup recommends that we appoint Dave Schirmer for a two year term until the next general election. Roll call vote taken with results as follows; Todd-yes, Jim-yes, Brian-yes, Dave-yes, Larry-yes.
Let the record show 5-yes and 0-no.
President Knoup will contact Dave regarding the appointment.
Rob will automatically receive his 75 cent raise on the 2nd year of his 2 year evaluation agreement. This is retroactive from January 1st.
