 Maintenance Report

See attached report

 Streets & Alleys

M & M Concrete will begin working on handicap ramps now that school has let out. Prep work for the streets has been completed and they will begin with the seal coat soon. The inlet box on Main St. has been repaired.  The corner has been replaced with a handicap ramp.

WATER & SEWER

Jim has been checking on generator prices and installation prices. The committee will have a meeting to determine whether to continue with the search or not due to high prices and little use that we would need it for.

 CEMETERY

The committee reported that the cemetery looked good for the Memorial Day events.

 BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

The annual Clean-up Day went smoothly, but was noted that we had an abundance of out of town dumping.  Discussion was noted as to whether to have one again next year or maybe have Gill’s set up a curbside pickup with a fee.  This will be discussed at a future meeting.

 Police

Several complaints with Gideon at the school passing out bibles. They were asked to leave school property.

 Liquor

 Old Business

No one came forward to plant the downtown planters.  President Knoup will have them planted.

 New Business

President Knoup reminded the Police committee to set up the County Reserves for the Homecoming parade.

The Lions approached President Knoup regarding a donation from the Village so that they may get some fireworks for Homecoming.  President Knoup noted that all insurance is covered through the company that sets off the fireworks. Board members commented that we have already donated $1,500.00 and would we need to donate another $1,500.

After discussion on the topic a motion was made by Jim to keep the Homecoming donation at out original $1,500.00.  Motion was second by Larry.  Motion carried.

Motion to adjourn at 7:50 pm by Larry.  Second by Todd.

Motion carried.

 Attest:
