 Visitors

Dan Kempel was present to request an update on the flood and the buyout program. President Knoup noted that we hired a grant writer to go through the entire buy out paperwork and application process. Dan was also told to check with Ron Kane at the Assessment office to check on a tax reduction for the year. We may hear more in 3-4 weeks from the grant writer. The Corp of Engineers is now working with Fehr-Graham on the Yellow Creek study. Dan was advised to attend the upcoming informational meeting on flood insurance.

 WATER & SEWER

Flood insurance meeting on September 7th at 7pm.

Message was given to the owner of the milk plant regarding the need to start the process of filling the well.  If no response the committee will file a complaint with the EPA.

Committee will need to make a decision by mid October on the water service to the flooded homes that do not have occupants.

CEMETERY

Committee will replace one Memorial tree and will then draft an ordinance outlining the village obligation for replacement of memorial trees.

 BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

Mill Pond will be stocked with fish later this month.  The fishing pier has been removed and Rob will begin to build a new one. The committee listed the truck on E-bay and received 3 bids with the highest at $10,200.00.  The reserve was not met so the truck listing was removed. The committee is to get a trade in price to see what it is worth now and Rusty will list the truck in Auto Trader magazine for no less than $10,200.00.

 Police

The police have been patrolling in the early morning hours due to four wheelers running through the school and park district grounds.

Fred is working on another barking dog issue.

 Old Business

Stickers have been ordered for the new Golf cart/UTV ordinance.  The ordinance will be put on the Village website.

 New Business

Geoff Williams can work 40 hours per week until November then only part time for snow removal if needed.

The village has a new business open, Computer Pro, on Main St.  Question as to whether we will allow businesses to advertise on our Facebook page.  Board members will allow this for now as long as it is not abused.

It was requested that we fix the curb along Main St and Goldmine Rd due to a large pot hole.

Motion to adjourn at 8:30 pm by Larry.
