Visitors
President Knoup reported for Fehr-Graham on the First St road repair and bid let.
We will let the bid in two segments; Bid A will be the grind and overlay of the street with curb and gutter. Fehr-Graham estimates this to be $50,000.00. Bid B will be an add on for the Sidewalk program with sidewalk from South St, to the school. This is estimated at $100,000.00. Jim made a motion to continue with the bid letting scheduled for September 20th at 2 pm. Motion second by Larry. Motion carried. Motion was made by Jim to allow President Knoup to accept the bids if the bids are not higher than the estimated cost of $150,000.00. If bids come in higher than estimated the board will have a special meeting to accept or reject the bids. Motion second by Larry. Motion carried with 3-yes, 1-no and 2 absent.
Back to school Sidewalk Program – President Knoup was informed that we should not make any changes to the plans that we have. He was informed that there is more money available so the village may get more funding. Any changes can be made before work is started if we do not get the additional funds.
STREETS AND ALLEYS
Rob met with Fischer Excavating regarding the Walking Path. Fischer’s suggested that we have the area surveyed and then stake the path out. Fischer’s would like to see a 10 foot wide path which will make it easier to get their equipment in. Jim will map the area out and then attend the Park District and School meetings to review the plan.
